THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president K Surendran on Sunday said that minister AK Balan is threatening the victims' mother who is fighting for justice in the Walayar case. He also said the Balan's question as to why the victim's mother was protesting was inhumane.

"Why did Balan, who questioned the protest, send a government messenger to the victim's parents? The state government, which has taken a stand to protect the murderers who brutally tortured and hanged two minor girls, is now insulting the mother of the victims," he said.
