THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Thousands of children will be initiated into the world of letters on Monday as part of the tradition in Kerala on Vijayadashami. Monday will be the closing day of Navratri Pooja, which celebrates the victory of good over evil.
In some states, the Vijayadashami celebrations took place on Sunday. Due to COVID restrictions, very few children will be allowed to take part in Vidyarambham rituals at temples and other cultural centres. The government has imposed strict restrictions.
As a result, Vidyarambham rituals will be mostly conducted at homes. Vijayadashami ceremonies will start before 7.30 am.
