NEW DELHI: Senior advocate Harish Salve, who recently divorced his first wife, has announced the second marriage with a London-based artiste next week. The 65-year-old lawyer divorced his wife for 38 years Meenakshi Salve in June this year.

Salve, who was India’s former Solicitor General before becoming Queens Counsel (QC) in England and Wales in January, a title which is recognized all over the world. He has been the busiest lawyer amid the coronavirus pandemic as he appeared in several high-profile cases in the Supreme Court.

He represented Facebook Vice President in a case against Delhi Legislative Assembly, journalist Arnab Goswami against Maharashtra government and Indian Banks Association in a matter regarding the loan moratorium and had expressed that he is very comfortable in arguing in matters, through video conferencing, from London. Salve will marry Caroline Brossard, a London-based artist in a church wedding on October 28. Salve and Brossard have been seeing each other for close to a year after they first met at an art event. He lives in north London.

Brossard is an artist, who grew up in the United Kindom and has an 18-year old daughter of her own. Elaborating the factors, which solidified the couple's connection, Salve had said they share a passion for theatre and classical music, along with the art.

Salve had said that the wedding will be a very small affair, as only 15 are allowed to gather in London. It is learnt that other than Brossard's family, Salve's guests include Camellia and Namita Panjabi, renowned Indian restaurateurs in the UK.

He has been associated with many high-profile cases: Kulbhushan Jadav, Vodafone, Ratan Tata, Mukesh Ambani, ITC hotels etc., and also one of the prominent lawyers who are active before several courts in India through video conferencing.
