'If I was in the state film awards committee, I would have given the award to some other people,' said music composer M Jayachandran. The award is always the view of an award panel and my point of view is different from others, he said in an interview to Kaumudy TV’s Straight Line.
His words
‘An award is always the view of an award committee. In my perspective one of the most popular songs released in the last two years is the song Aaradhike from Ambili. Vishnu Vijay, the music composer of the film is a very talented person. If I was in the committee I would’ve given the award for that song. I would have given an award for Sushin Shyam who composed the background music for Kumbalangi Nights. The song Nee Mukilo composed by Gopi Sunder from the film Uyare is also very good. It was sung by Sithara Krishna Kumar. The recipients of the award deserves it, there is no doubt,’ he said.
