THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The court approved the demand of IAS officer Sriram Venkitaraman, prime accused in a drunken driving case that led to the death of journalist K M Basheer, seeking the CCTV footages and related documents. The court ordered to hand over the footages and documents. The court approved this while considering the case today. The officer had filed a plea in the court earlier demanding the footages and other related documents produced along with the charge sheet.

The court had directed the accused to appear in the court today. When the case was considered the last time, the two accused Venkitraman and Wafa Firoz were present in the court.
