KASARAGOD: Underworld don Ravi Pujari has been named in the accused list in the infamous Bevinje shooting case. Ravi Pujari has been added to the accused list for two-time instances of shooting against MT Mohammad Kunji's residence in Kasaragod. The North Zone of the Crime Branch Anti Terrorist Squad lead by Abdul Rahim submitted a report at a court in Kasaragod court. CI Abdul Rahim and team will immediately set for Bengaluru jail to arrest Ravi Pujari.

In 2008 and in 2013, Ravi Pujari's men shot at the residence of a contractor demanding money. A phone call from Senegal to Mohammad Kunji's phone proved to be the key evidence in the case against Ravi Pujari. Some days before the shooting. Ravi Pujari called Mohammad Kunji. On behalf of Pujari, Maneesh Shetty also called Kunji. There were threats that if he doesn't pay up, it would end in danger. However, as Kunji disagreed, a team opened fire at the person's residence. A paper with 'Ravi Pujari' written on it was also found from the house's verandah.

In connection with this case, Maneesh Shetty was arrested at the Agrahara jail in Bengaluru in 2015 by the then Kasaragod DySP. Ravi gave crucial statements while being questioned by CB chief Tomin Thachankary at Bengaluru. The probe was subsequently handed over to the ATS of the crime branch.

The ATS also found that Ravi Pujari and group also made similar attacks in Karanataka's Puthoor.
