THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Supreme Court permission for the third phase development of Technopark will pave the way for a hybrid IT park with the great potential post-COVID era and residential complex adjacent to it. 20000 people will, directly and indirectly, get jobs in this huge system. Barring any hiccups, the construction project will be completed by next year.
Torres Investment Holdings, an American company, and Indian companies Embassy Group and Asset Homes are the construction partners. On completion of the third phase, Technopark will become the largest IT park in the nation with 80 lakh square feet.
Attempts are being made to make the Technopark-Torres Downtown project first phase's Keystone prefab building operational by January. In this temporary structure, prominent companies will function. The Keystone prefab building will be of two floors comprising 62,500 square feet.
By mid-2021 construction of the first IT building and by the end of the next year, the Torres-Centrum Mall will be completed.
A dispute regarding 19.76 acres of land which was part of the 71 acres given for the third phase development reached the Supreme Court which was dismissed by the apex court.
