THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala confirmed 7983 COVID-19 cases on Saturday, Health Minister KK Shailaja informed. Among the new cases, 7049 persons developed the disease through contact including 786 cases without an identified source of infection.
62 health workers tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 7330 patients tested negative for the virus on Saturday.
The state recorded 27 COVID deaths on Saturday with the toll rising to 1484.
