KOCHI: Senior CPM leader and former LDF convener MM Lawrence has reacted to the news of his son Adv Abraham joining the BJP. While claiming that Abraham was not a CPM member, Lawrence also rejected Abraham's statement that CPM had deviated from its ideologies.

'A man who was once a communist can never go to a party like the BJP!.' he wrote on his Facebook page.

Earlier, Abraham had said that he was leaving the CPM in protest of the Bineesh Kodiyeri issue. Abraham had said that the party had deviated from its ideals and that he was a member of the CPM.
