KOZHIKODE: P K Kunhalikutty MP has clarified that the Muslim League will not give seats to three-time contestants this time in the coming local body polls. The UDF will unitedly face the polls, he said in the press meet convened.

‘Strong protests will be staged against the government on reservation issue. Muslim League will join hands with community organizations in the protests.

The Muslim League will be a part in the protests staged by reserved community organizations. This is social justice and not communalism. The state government has done great injustice to reserved communities. The state government is neck deep in corruption and its image has been tainted, he said.

Last week's joint meeting of the reservation communities demanded that the government withdraw its decision to implement reservation for economically weaker sections (EWS). The meeting was attended by representatives of various Muslim organizations including the League and other reserved community organizations.
