PATNA: The second phase of the crucial Bihar Assembly Elections is set to be held in 90 constituencies across 17 districts of the state. While the Janata Dal (United) will be contesting on 43 seats, its NDA ally the Bharatiya Janata Party will be battling it out on 46. The Rashtriya Janata Dal will be contesting on 56 seats, while the Congress will fight it out in 24 constituencies.
Around 2.85 crore people are set to vote for 1,463 candidates on Tuesday. The districts that are going to polls are Patna, Bhagalpur, Nalanda, West Champaran, East Champaran, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Sheohar, Sitamarhi, Gopalganj, Vaishali, Samastipur, Begusarai, Siwan, Saran and Khagaria.
The Bihar elections to 243 Assembly seats are being held in three phases. The first phase in 71 seats was conducted on October 28 and the third phase will be held on November 7. The results will be announced on November 10.

‘First vote, then water’: BJP chief JP Nadda’s appeal to people
Bharatiya Janata Party chief JP Nadda on Tuesday urged the people of Bihar to vote for a bright future for the state and ensure maximum participation in the voting process. “The people of Bihar are going to vote in the second phase for their bright future today. It is an appeal to all voters that they should make their contribution and ensure maximum participation in this grand festival of democracy by following Covid rules. Today, by-elections are being held at various places across the country. I urge all voters in these seats to vote in large numbers and ensure their participation in strengthening democracy. PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi to hold rallies in Bihar today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will hold campaign rallies in Bihar on Tuesday ahead of the third phase of polling on November 7. While Modi will address rallies in Araria and Saharsa, Gandhi will campaign in Katihar and Kishanganj.
