KOCHI: The customs is all set to name former accountant of UAE Consulate Khalid, a Egyptian citizen, as accused in the case of smuggling 1,90,000 dollars abroad illegally which he got as commission in the Life Mission project. The customs had informed this to the court. Khalid, who left India as soon as the gold was seized, has diplomatic protection. The court then asked customs then can he be arraigned in the case.

The customs requested economic offences court in Kochi to issue a non-bailable warrant to bring him to India via Interpol. The NIA is also for a similar move in the case.
