THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Recent report claims that K-FON, the government's flagship project, will soon become a reality. The first phase of the project will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on January 5. It is the first venture in the country that will connect across the state through high-speed internet network.

The project, which was scheduled to start in 2019 and get completed by December this year, faced a severe crisis due to the COVID pandemic. However, the government hopes that it will be able to overcome the crisis and complete the project within the specified time.
