BENGALURU: Enforcement directorate has informed that court that the agency has received the debit card of Muhammed Anoop, accused in a drug trafficking case, from Bineesh’s home. The debit card also bears the signature of Bineesh Kodiyeri. The agency through its lawyer has also informed the court that the debit card was received to its officials while raiding Bineesh’s home on Friday.

The agency informed the court the details of Muhammad Anoop’s debit card when it presented Bineesh before the court on Saturday seeking an extension of his custody. ED has also found out that Bineesh still has links with his companies which were closed down recently. The agency’s lawyer said that Bineesh’s custody is essential in order to get more details on the case.

Meanwhile, Bineesh’s lawyer opposed the custody petition of ED. He said that the custody extension of the agency should not be considered and he requires immediate treatment as his health condition has worsened. “The agency is trying to mislead the court. Bineesh was implicated in the case in order to defame his father, who is a high profile political leader in the state,” Bineesh’s lawyer said.
