KASARGOD: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has issued a lookout notice against three accused in the fashion gold jewellery scam to prevent them from leaving the country. The notice was issued against jewellery managing director TK Pookoya Thangal, general manager Zainul Abidin and Thangal's son Isham.

The first accused, Pookoya Thangal, did not appear for questioning. His son Isham, a former manager, had escaped to the Gulf two weeks ago. The notice was issued against General Manager Zainul Abid ahead of his inclusion in the accused list. Earlier, Zainul Abidin had made a public statement against the MLA and the directors. He also went to the house of Kallatra Mahin Haji to report his assets. At the same time, investors made a special statement against him.

The investigation team had received information that both Thangal and son-in-law Zainul Abidin are planning to leave the country together. District Police Chief D. Shilpa and investigating officer ASP Vivek Kumar have handed over the notice information to all the main airport authorities.
