KASARGOD: The bail plea of M C Kamaruddin MLA, who is currently under remand on fashion gold jewellery case, will be taken up by the Kanjagad magistrate court on Monday. The court will also consider the plea od probe team seeking custody of Kamaruddin.

The special investigation team said that the custody plea is given in order to question and collect more evidence from Kamaruddin as several complaints were registered against him. Meanwhile, officials have intensified search operations for those accused who are still on the run.

The police have issued lookout notice against managing director of the jewellery, Pookoya Thangal, his son-in-law and general manager Sainul Abedin and his Isham. Sources say that Isham has moved to gulf two weeks ago. Notice against Sainul Abdin is issued before charge sheeting him in the case.
