THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: While the split within the party has become public, the number of party workers leaving the BJP seems to be increasing day by day. Now, a woman leader who left the BJP has come up with serious allegations against the party leaders in Kerala. R Bindu, who left the party the other day, said that there was severe caste discrimination among BJP leaders and she was excluded from the local body elections because she was a backward caste woman.
"I was excluded from the general ward in the local elections because I was a backward caste woman. Having worked for the party for ten years, I no longer want to be a stepping stone for leaders. In 2010, I made a great achievement for the BJP at Valiyavila by contesting from the reservation seat. When it became a general ward in 2015, I stood aside. The party had promised to consider me in 2020 when the ward would become Woman's ward. However, the leaders avoided me at the last minute," Bindu said.
