KANNUR: The locals, who were initially curious to see Sreeshma driving a tipper lorry carrying cement to work sites, are now adoring her. The 24-year-old, who completed BTech in Civil Engineering, became a tipper lorry driver to help her father. Daughter of Kannur Mayyil native C Purushothaman and Sreeja, Sreeshma can drive the tipper adventurously on any road.

Purushothaman is a cement trader. During the lockdown, his business was affected and that was when Sreeshma told her father that she would drive the lorry for small business-related rides. Since then Sreeshma has been in the driver's seat of tipper lorry. She also finds time for PSC training.

Sreeshma, who got a two-wheeler and four-wheeler license at the age of 18, also got a heavy license at the age of 22. She passed BTech from Payyannur College of Engineering Technology.
