KOCHI: The Kerala High Court granted anticipatory bail to dubbing artiste Bhagyalakshmi, activists Sreelekshmi Arackal and Diya Sana in the case of manhandling sensational YouTuber Vijay P Nair. A conditional anticipatory bail was granted to the three. The court had strongly criticized the action of the accused including Bhagyalakshmi while hearing their bail plea. The court verbally stated that when you take law in your hands, you should be ready to suffer its consequences.

However, Bhagyalakshmi and the other two argued that they had not trespassed to his room and stolen anything. Vijay P Nair had filed a plea in the court opposing the anticipatory bail plea of the three. He argued that if the accused are granted anticipatory bail it wound give a wrong message. The court had sought an explanation from the government in the case.

The additional sessions court had earlier rejected the anticipatory bail pleas of the three. Following that, they approached the high court. The accused in the bail plea asserted that they went to his room for conciliatory talks as no action was taken by the police after approaching them.
