BENGALURU: Bineesh Kodiyeri’s custody term on drugs trade case will end on Wednesday. Enforcement Directorate will present him before the court. Sources say that ED won’t demand his custody again.
Meanwhile, the Narcotics Control Bureau is likely to approach the court seeking his custody. NCB has sought his custody to initiate interrogation on him on the basis of testimony given by other accused in the Bengaluru drug trade case.
Bineesh has been in the custody of ED for the past 12 days and ED team has also conducted raids in Bineesh’s home in the meantime. He was questioned in the last few days on Anoop Muhammed’s ATM card which was seized from his home, during the raids.
Meanwhile, benami of Bineesh Kodiyeri and Car Palace owner, Abdul Lateef, who is suspected to have played a key role in the case, is still on the run. ED sources say that more information will only be revealed if Bineesh and Abdul Lateef are questioned together.
