BENGALURU: Bineesh Kodiyeri who has been under the custody of enforcement directorate in connection with black money and Benami cases was sent on remand custody for 14 days. Bineesh who is currently under judicial custody will be shifted to Parappana Agrahara jail in Bengaluru. The court will consider ED’s plea for custody on 18th. ED has sought a month’s time to file response on Bineesh’s bail plea.
Bineesh has been in the custody of ED for the past 12 days and ED team has also conducted raids in Bineesh’s home in the meantime. He was questioned in the last few days on Anoop Muhammed’s ATM card which was seized from his home, during the raids.
Meanwhile, benami of Bineesh Kodiyeri and Car Palace owner, Abdul Lateef, who is suspected to have played a key role in the case, is still on the run. ED sources say that more information will only be revealed if Bineesh and Abdul Lateef are questioned together.
