THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police team probing the death of journalist KM Basheer informed the court that the CCTV footage of the accident was not stored separately. The report was filed in the Thiruvananthapuram first class judicial magistrate court.

It was informed that the DVR containing the CCTV footage was already submitted as evidence along with the indictment nd hence it would take time to hand it over to the accused. Earlier, the court had asked the prosecution to submit the CCTV footages after the accused demanded copies of footages and other documents. It must be noted that the trial of the case can be started only if this technical error is rectified and the accused are given a copy of the footage.
