NEW DELHI: Recent reports claim that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will celebrate Diwali soldiers posted in border areas. Modi has been celebrating Diwali with the soldiers ever since he came to power in 2014. According to media reports, the Prime Minister's Diwali celebrations will be held in Gujarat or Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

Earlier, Modi had appealed to the people to light a 'diya' as a "salute to soldiers", saying words cannot do justice to the sense of gratitude for their exemplary courage.
