KALADY: An Ayurveda doctor has been nabbed by the police for practicing allopathic medicine. 33-year-old Ajayraj, of Suryodaya in Kottarakkara, is a BAMS graduate. He practiced allopathy by forging an MBBS certificate, the police said.

The certificate was found to be fake in an inspection led by district rural police chief K Karthik. He was treating patients for the past three months. The accused has been remanded now. Recently, a fake doctor named Sangeetha Balakrishnan was nabbed from a clinic in Kombara. Certificates of this person and Ajaykumar has been forged similarly, which calls for further investigation, the police added.
