THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday said the ones who work against KIIFB have other interests and they are panicking as the state is developing. He stated that the public will not support the efforts to sabotage the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB). A Sangh Parivar leader moves High Court against KIIFB and the KPCC Secretary arrives to take up the case. It is a good unification, but for what? CM asked during the press meet here.

Can anyone, who oppose KIIFB say, that their constituency needs no KIIFB project. The government is taking up development projects for the benefit of the state. However, many are trying to sabotage these projects and for the same raise allegations against KIIB, CM added.

For projects outside budget, financial sources have to be identified. The government had planned for development projects over Rs 50,000 crore. But projects worth Rs 55,000 crore were approved. Many projects have been complete. In the meantime, some are trying to destroy KIIFB and sabotage the projects, he alleged.

“We were able to check the Covid spread. The public has huge part in it. But the health department also have an important role. The primary health centres and government hospitals have developed. Transpiration facilities have improved in the state. Wasn’t all these done using KIIFB funds,” he further asked.

CM also spoke on the K-FON project and said there were efforts to destroy the project.

All the developmental activities including drinking water, housing and industrial park projects were undertaken with KIIFB funds and sources, he stated.
