THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Lawrence, a native of Sasthamangalam, has lodged a complaint with the Museum police alleging that a group attacked him for allegedly passing information against Bineesh Kodiyeri to the investigating agencies. Three people, including a friend of Bineesh's and a former driver, are accused of the attack while Lawrence going for a haircut at Sasthamangalam last afternoon. The police were informed, after which the Museum police arrived and rescued him and rushed him to hospital. According to the complaint, at this time, they broke the gate of the house and threw stones. In 2016, some members of the panchayat administration told him that he had to pay Rs 15 lakh to Bineesh Kodiyeri for setting up a hot mixing plant in Aryancode panchayat in Kattakada. After talking with him, Bineesh demanded Rs 50 lakh. Following this, the dispute had escalated, the complainant said.

Lawrence runs a laundry and real estate business in Thiruvananthapuram. The Museum CI said they have received the complaint and directed further action.
