PATHANAPURAM: Snakecatcher Vava Suresh has once again turned a mason in order to construct a safe house for the family of Adithya, the girl who died of snakebite in her small house. Vava is now active on the construction site carrying stones and plastering cement. Vava is building the house using the money that was handed over to him by the NRI Malayalees who made donations to construct a house for the family.
Adithya, daughter of Mankod native Rajeev, died on October 4 after she was bitten by a snake while sleeping in the small house that had mud floor and plenty of holes on the walls.
Suresh came to know Adithya's demise through a report published in Kerala Kaumudi. The house is being built on 800 square feet at a cost of Rs 13 lakh. There will be two bedrooms with attached bathroom, hall, prayer room and kitchen. The wall will be completed in a few days. Then the roof will be cast. Construction is expected to be completed within three months.
