
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Isolated heavy rains are expected in state today. The weather department has issued yellow alert in seven districts. Yellow alert has been sounded in Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts.
There is a possibility for the formation of low pressure in south eastern Arabian Sea. It has been warned that in the next 48 hours it may intensify and turn into severe low pressure. There is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder.
The central meteorological department said strong winds of 45 to 55 kmph and in some places up to 65 kmph are likely along the Kerala coast, south-eastern Arabian Sea, Lakshadweep, Maldives (18-11-2020) and Middle Eastern Arabian Sea (19-11-2020). Authorities have asked fishermen not to venture into the sea.
