THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kaumudy Short Film Festival (KSFF) organized by Kaumudy TV on the theme 'Life' will commence on Friday. The organisers have received nearly 350 entries for the competition. Selected short films will be screened every day from Friday onwards at 8 pm on Kaumudy TV's YouTube channel and Facebook page. The first premiere will be 'Nizhalanente Achan', starring Indrans as the central character. Other films that will be premiered on Friday are 'Bangles', 'Block' and 'Chuzhi'. The short films will be telecasted on Kaumudy channel from the first week of December. Director Shyamaprasad will be the chairman of the jury while directors Sujith Vasudev, Basil Joseph and screenwriter Sethu will be the jury members. The results will be announced in the first week of January.

The short film that will be named as the best short film by the jury will receive prize money of Rs 1 lakh. The award for the most popular short film will be given to the most acclaimed short film on Facebook and YouTube. Awards will also be given to the best director, cinematographer, actor and actress.
