THRISSUR: Barely hours after their wedding, a bride left her husband and allegedly ran away with her boyfriend. She left her husband soon after her lover stopped their car in a typical filmy style when they were proceeding to the groom’s house. The incident happened at Cheruthuruthy in Thrissur the other day. The girl agreed to marry the expatriate due to pressure from her family but when her lover called her, she went with him leaving her husband.

The girl’s decision to go with her lover ended in a scuffle. Following that, the Cheruthuruthy police reached the spot and summoned both the parties to the station. The girl was in love with her neighbour and also a Uber driver for years. The girl’s family was against the relation and fixed her marriage.

In the talks held at the police station, she said that she wants to go with her lover. Her husband also disagreed to receive her then. The girl’s family paid a compensation of Rs 2.5 lakh to the groom. He reached the state just to get married.
