NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police on Thursday detained a man who in a PCR call threatened to murder Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The threatening call caused a stir within the South Delhi Police department and on investigation, the caller was tracked in Delhi's Dakshinpuri area which falls under Ambedkar Nagar police station.

Police identified the house of the caller and arrested him.

On further investigation, police found that the caller, identified as Nitin, was in an inebriated state when he made the call. Police, however, is questioning him for more details.
