THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala confirmed 3966 cases of COVID-19 on Friday, health minister KK Shailaja informed. Among this, 3348 persons developed the disease through contact including 488 cases without an identified source of infection. 81 persons who came from outside the state also tested positive for the virus. 49 health workers tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 4544 patients tested negative for the virus today.
The state recorded 23 COVID deaths on Friday with the toll rising to 2171.
