THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Union Minister V Muraleedharan on Sunday said that Finance Minister Thomas Isaac's criticism of the vigilance probe into KSFE's irregularities shows that the cabinet has lost its collective responsibility. Speaking at the press meet, Muraleedharan said that the Chief Minister should be ready to fire the finance minister if the latter does not trust the state vigilance handled by the CM.
"Not only the central agencies but also the state agencies are exposing the corruption of the Pinarayi Vijayan-led government. Vigilance has said that corruption has taken place in Wadakancherry Life project and KSFE chit. It was the Vigilance that registered a case against former Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister M Sivasankar and raided KSFE. With this, CPM's claim that the central agencies were politically targetting the state government has been proven wrong," Muraleedharan said.
