Clarifying his political stance, actor Manikandan Achari said that he has always been a left supporter and wants to be the same in the future. He further opined that Pinarayi Vijayan is the best Chief Minister Kerala has ever seen. He said this in an interview to a private Malayalam news channel.

Manikandan also said that it was the left that promoted drama more and due to this he was attracted to it. The actor said he is satisfied with the four years of left rule. Manikandan pointed out that the present government is not reluctant to admit any criticism or lapse and the state government is ready to correct any mistakes.

'This is what we are seeing now. No one might have ever seen anything like this before. Kerala has so far seen leaders who make mistakes knowingly and act as if they do not know if such a mistake has been made. In that sense, the left government and our Chief Minister are very different, " Manikandan said.
