SULTHAN BATHERY: A major theft has been reported at Sulthan Bathery in Wayanad. The burglars decamped with Rs 21 lakh in cash and 25 sovereigns after breaking open the house. The theft happened at Abdul Salam’s house in Malapura, Naikattayil. The incident happened when the inmates of the house went out. They noticed the theft when they returned. The police have started a probe and search for the accused has been intensified, police said.
