THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Governor Arif Mohammad Khan summoned vigilance director ahead of taking a decision in the vigilance probe against former ministers. Government files of the probe against Ebrahim Kunju, K Babu and V S Sivakumar are now before the governor.
The governor has summoned the vigilance director to know the details related to the case. The vigilance director is presently on leave. Though he will return to Thiruvananthapuram tomorrow, he will reach office only on December 7. It is believed that he will meet the governor only after that.
The speaker had yesterday given permission for a probe against opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala. The government had obtained legal advice that governor’s nod is not needed to probe Chennithala. As speaker’s nod has been obtained, the government’s order will be issued today or tomorrow in the probe against Chennithala.
