KOZHIKODE: The excise’ enforcement squad have nabbed a youth with charas from the premises of the railway station. The squad nabbed Muhammed Rasheeb, a native of Palliyarakkandy in Kozhikode early Friday morning. The charas was found hidden inside Bluetooth’s speaker. The charas costs Rs 25 lakh in the international market, the excise officials said.
The youth was held by a team led by excise enforcement squad circle inspector Anil Kumar based on secret information the excise commissioner obtained. Excise circle inspector G Krishna Kumar, excise inspectors K V Vinod, T R Mukesh Kumar, civil excise officers Vishak, Subin, Rajesh, Muhammed Ali and driver K Rajeev were in the team.
