KANNUR: POCSO case charged against E D Joseph, Kannur district chairman of child welfare panel. Police registered the case on the basis of the secret testimony given by the aggrieved girl to the magistrate.

The incident for the case held on October 21. E D Joseph has taken the testimony of the girl after summoning her to his office. The complaint says that he has behaved in an improper manner to the girl while recording her testimony. The girl informed the bad ordeal to her parents after her testimony was recorded.

The incident for the case held on child welfare panel’s office at Eranjoli. The complaint also says that the committee chairman touched the girl in an improper manner. Meanwhile, E D Joseph has denied the allegations.
