BJP leader M T Ramesh lashed at the chief minister and other important office holders who criticised the centre’s decision to name the second campus of RGCB in Akkulam after RSS ideologue M S Golwalkar. His response was expressed through his Facebook handle. He said that communist leaders concern over the issue will not produce any change as the country is ruled by a prime minister who has dedicated himself to the ideology created and propagated by Guruji. He also added that the Guruji had a clear vision about the development of science in the country as he was an MSC degree holder and had the history of being engaged in scientific research.

His Facebook post is as follows:

Be it the chief minister or the lord of thunder himself is angry, The second campus of RGCB will be known under Guruji’s name. Those hopeless people who don’t deserve to call Guruji’s name, let them bark. CPM and Congress for whom minority appeasement is an integral part of their politics might be disappointed to hear the Guruji’s name, but they can’t do anything other than to bear it. The communist leaders concern over the issue will not produce any change as the country is ruled by a prime minister who has dedicated himself to the ideology created and propagated by Guruji. Guruji had a clear vision about the development of science in the country as he was an MSC degree holder and had the history of being engaged in scientific research. Why was Kozhikode football stadium named after EMS Nampoothiripad? Has he played any football?

Guruji who became RSS sanghchalak at the age of 34, worked in that position for 33 years and stood for the betterment of RSS in independent India and steered the organisation through its most difficult times. He is the one who created all Sangh organisations that are seen today. The campus will be known as Golwalkar National Centre For Complex Disease in Cancer and Viral Infection. If anybody is concerned over that let them raise their fist in the air and create pandemonium.
