THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala said CPM leaders’ allegation that there is an unholy nexus between the UDF and the BJP is like taking an anticipatory bail eyeing defeat in the local body polls.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, LDF convener Vijayaraghavan and Kadakampally Surendran have come forward with false propaganda of collusion. They are scared of their impending defeat.

The Left Front which has not even been able to present their own chief minister to the people, when noticing that the UDF will accomplish a great win has come to the fore with fake propaganda and communal card, alleged Chennithala.

The CPM and the Left Front are colluding with the BJP all over Kerala. In many places, those who have been labelled as Left Front independent candidates are acting as a bridge to garner BJP's vote. The CPM is scared to give their own party symbol to the candidates. Chennithala said it is clear from this that the CPM and the Left Front are trading votes with the BJP.

It should be remembered that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has not uttered a single word against Narendra Modi. Pinarayi has not opened his mouth against Narendra Modi and Amit Shah in retaliation for helping him in the Lavalin case. Actually there is a political nexus between the CPM and the BJP in the state.

Both the CPM and the BJP are concerned about the UDF's victory in the coming local body polls. Chennithala said the victory and support of the people cannot be subverted.
