THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president K Surendran has said that when both fronts in Kerala realised that they are going to fail in the elections, they have stared attempts to communally polarise the state. He said that the chief minister and the government is trying to divert people’s attention from popular issues such as life mission case, gold smuggling scam, black money laundering and KIIFB scam. The BJP chief also added that the controversy over naming RGCB after Golwalkar is an unnecessary one.
UDF has forged an open pact with communal forces. Mullappally’s party after engaging in a campaign for the Popular Front leaders is now denying that he has not made any electoral understanding with them. There exist an open understanding with LDF and UDF including in Thiruvananthapuram corporation and now both fronts are functioning like brothers against BJP. In Palakkad, LDF and UDF are coordinating poll campaigns through the same Whatsapp groups. Many unrealistic and uncommon things are happening in Kerala, both fronts are going to face humiliating defeat. Now, they are happy as they have received something to blame us in the form of RGCB controversy.
“Role of the chief minister’s office is evident in hawala and reverse hawala deals. Additional secretary C M Raveendran was a bridge between the party and the government. BJP has earlier stated that Uralunkal labour society was meant for money laundering CPM’s black money. CPM leaders have earned a commission from every transaction with Uralunkal labour society. Why CM is silent over the allegations against Uralunkal,” he asked.
Many ministers have ties with Uralunkal. The labour society has also paid commissions worth lakhs to several ministers and even Raveendran’s has got lakhs of rupees as commission from the labour society. The people’s mandate in Kerala will be against graft and nepotism. “CPM is taking the paternity of free rations, it is actually the central government who is distributing the free rations. By giving nod for postal votes and employing its workers in the poll process, the ruling party is trying to sabotage the election process,” he said.
