THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The first phase of public campaigning for local body election has come to an end on Sunday. Only silent campaign will be allowed on Monday. In the first phase, elections will be held in five districts on Tuesday.

Though the customary show of strength by political parties and candidates were prohibited due to the COVID situation, party leaders and workers ended the campaigning in exciting fashion. Excitement peaked as candidates visited the maximum number of voters while leaders got engaged in a war of words with leaders from other political parties.
