KOLLAM: A CPM worker was stabbed to death in Kollam on Sunday night. The deceased has been identified as Munroe island native Manilal (50). CPM has alleged that Manilal was murdered by RSS members.

Police have arrested two men in connection with the incident. The arrested men are Panakkathara Sathyan and Pattamthuruthu native Ashokan. According to sources, Manilal was at the LDF booth office when he was attacked. Meanwhile, BJP claimed that they have no connection with the incident.

The BJP also said the CPM was politicizing the incident ahead of the panchayat elections. Police said that they were investigating the motive behind the murder.
