ADIMALI: Police arrested a woman’s friend for attacking her after hiding behind her own home. Bipin(33), a native of Nedungandam was arrested in connection with the case.

Police narrative about the incident is as follows: Bipin a friend of Keerithodu Kandathil Sofia aka Nisha(34), who has been living in Pakayipadi near Adimali town with her 12-year-old son, came to her home by Friday night 7 pm. As Nisha was unwilling to open the doors, Bipin got agitated and he even destroyed the glass window of the house. As she complained to the police via phone, police personnel reached the site. Nisha told that Bipin is her friend and on police directions, he went back his home. But Bipin who later came back and stood hidden behind Nisha’s home, barged into the home by early morning 2 am and silted her throat.

Even though Nisha was admitted in Adimali taluk hospital, as the wound was severe, she was later transferred to Kottayam Medical College. Meanwhile, Adimali circle inspector Anil Geroge and his gang arrested Bipin from the surroundings of taluk hospital. Bipin is married and he has kids. After collecting evidence from Nisha’s home in Bipin’s presence, he was presented in court and the accused was sent on remand custody.
