THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Senior Congress leader K Muraleedharan, has alleged that there exist secret ties between CPM and BJP in the local body polls. He also added that strong undercurrents exist between the two parties in Thiruvananthapuram corporation.

CPM has decided to give Thiruvananthapuram corporation to BJP in order to suppress the Lavlin case. Muraleedharan has also said that CPM leaders have secretly informed this development to BJP leaders. He revealed that Congress have regional understandings with the welfare party in many areas in the state. His revelation comes when the state Congress president Mullapally Ramachandran was constantly denying reports of electoral ties with welfare party.

“There is no need to hide the electoral ties with the welfare party. They had helped UDF in the previous Lok Sabha polls. They had always taken a secular stand,” he said.

“RMP have an open understanding with UDF. We hope that UDF will secure a much greater victory than the previous time. We will repeat the electoral victory in 2010. Congress will become the largest party in Thiruvananthapuram corporation after the polls,” he added.
