THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala approaches the Supreme Court against the farm laws of the central government. State agricultural minister V S Sunil Kumar has said that the law will not be implemented in the state under any circumstance and he also added that the state government is ready for any consultation with the centre to formulate a farm-friendly proposal.

Meanwhile, union law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has come up with harsh criticisms against the opposition parties which are revolting against the centre’s farm laws. He also alleged that opposition and other political parties in the country have taken dubious double standards on the farm laws.

“Opposition parties were engaged in opposing the law in haste, without understanding the legislation. The same things did by Narendra Modi for the development of the farm sector were also done by the previous UPA regime,” Ravi Shankar Prasad.

The minister added that NCP chief Sharad Pawar, who is now protesting against the farm laws, had sent a letter to state agricultural ministers, during the UPA regime, when he was union agriculture minister, asking them to enhance participation of private sector in the agriculture sector. He also asked whether the opposition is revolting against the law, just for the sake of opposition.
