THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Yet another patient has come with a complaint against the COVID treatment at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. Lakshmi, a native of Vattapara, Thiruvananthapuram, complained that no one from the hospital cared to look after her while she was lying in bed for three days due to high fever. However, the hospital authorities have denied the allegations.

Lakshmi's health was in poor condition as she suffered from high fever and shortness of breath. She alleged that she suffered from severe body pain and fatigue after receiving the injection.

"Though I had informed them that I had an allergy to certain medicines, they continued to give me injections without checking my allergy. This worsened my health condition. I was unable to get up due to high fever but they did not even bother to look after me while I was lying on a urine-soaked bed for three days," she said. Lakshmi was admitted to the medical college on May 26 after she tested positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the nodal officer at the hospital responded that the patient had been given antibiotics for pneumonia and that the patient was not in serious condition and had been given proper treatment.
