THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Recent report claims that the exam syllabus for this year's SSLC and Plus Two classes are likely to be reduced by 20 per cent. The government is also considering complete the exams by April 15 ahead of the Assembly elections.

The CBSE syllabus was reduced by 30 per cent last September. The Department of Education hoped that the lessons would be completed before the annual examinations. However, the calculations went awry with the COVID spread intensifying and school reopening becoming uncertain. Only about half of the lessons have been completed through online classes.
