THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Anti-government sentiments are rippling in the state, said Shashi Tharoor MP. The people will vote against the misgovernance of the last four years. The MP also claimed that there are pro-UDF elements in Thiruvananthapuram Corporation.
In Thiruvananthapuram, capable state leaders have campaigned for the Congress. My presence was not necessary for the campaign as there were many efficient leaders. Tharoor told media that he had campaigned online. He was speaking to the media after casting his vote at Cotton Hill School in the capital.
Tharoor tweeted, "Voted for congress candidate Suresh Kumar in Vazhuthacaud ward of Thiruvananthapuram Corporation. Encouraging turnout: suggests that people have realised their failure to vote has only enabled 45 years of misgovernance of the state capital by the Left."
"I am confident we will reverse the default dominance of the Left in Kerala in these local self-government elections, preparatory to winning the state assembly next year," the Thiruvananthapuram MP said in another tweet.
