KANNUR: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan violated the election code of conduct, said BJP leader P K Krishnadas. The chief minister reached Kannur yesterday and assessed the progress of government projects. He also made some announcements and this is violation of the code of conduct, alleged Krishnadas.

Krishnadas said the chief minister also Dharmadam MLA came to oversee the various development projects in the constituency along with officers. This is a blatant violation of the electoral code of conduct. A complaint will be lodged to the election commission pointing this. Krishnadas added that anti-government sentiment is evident in the local body elections and a heavy turnout in the first phase of the polls proves this, he said.
